here's why:

On Veterans Day and on Memorial Day the Isle of Palms Exchange Club showcases a breathtaking display of hundreds of American Flags at Towne Center and at the Exchange Club on Isle of Palms.  Individuals, businesses, corporations and non-profits can sponsor a flag, in honor of a hero of their choice. Together we can engage and inspire our community by reminding all of us of the true meaning of each of these holidays - a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Funds raised through the Flags for Heroes program will be used for local community service projects like the Charleston Fisher House, Tri-County Veterans Support Network, the VA Hospital and more.

The Isle of Palms Exchange Club is proud to host this event and is grateful to have received this program from the former East Cooper Breakfast Rotary Club. The Rotary Club offered this program to us for our Americanism Committee to carry the banner into the future. They also graciously donated their flags, and the talents of several of their members to see that this was transferred successfully.

The mission of the Exchange Club is to provide opportunities for our members to work together in fellowship to make our community a better place to live through our 4 programs of service:

Community Service, Americanism, Youth and Scholarship and Child Abuse Prevention.
